PROF. TERRY ANSAH PROF. TERRY ANSAH DEAN OF FACULTY OF AGRICULTURE, FOOD AND CONSUMER SCIENCES

Welcome to the Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Consumer Sciences at the University for Development Studies (UDS), where innovation meets tradition in a serene and inspiring learning environment.

Nestled in the peaceful and green savannah landscape of Nyankpala, our faculty is uniquely situated among vibrant smallholder crop-livestock farmers, thriving agribusinesses, and premier national research institutions such as the Savanna Agricultural Research Institute (SARI) and the Animal Research Institute of the CSIR. This ecosystem offers an unmatched, hands-on learning experience where students engage directly with the real-world challenges and opportunities in agriculture, food systems, and consumer sciences.

Whether you're a local or international student, joining our faculty means becoming part of a dynamic academic community driven by excellence, practical innovation, and impact. Our programmes blend classroom knowledge with field-based research, community outreach, and entrepreneurial training designed to prepare you for global opportunities in sustainable agriculture, food security, agribusiness, and nutrition.

Come study where the future of agriculture is being shaped where the classroom meets the farm, and the lab meets the market. We look forward to welcoming you to Nyankpala a place of peace, purpose, and progress.

Warm regards,
Professor Terry Ansah (PhD)
Dean, Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Consumer Sciences
