Candidates who do not meet the requirements for Degree programmes are advised to apply for any one of the Diploma programmes.
To be admitted into a Diploma Programme, applicants should have a minimum of a Pass (D7) in the Core subjects plus credit passes in any three elective subjects in SSSCE (A – D) or WASSCE (A1 – C6).
Any candidate without a pass (D7) in the core subjects need not apply directly for the Diploma. He or she would only be admitted through Access programme run by Institute for Distance and Continuing Learning. Such applicant will have to undergo a six-week teaching and pass a written examination conducted by Institute for Distance and Continuing Learning in the core subjects (Core Mathematics, English Language and Integrated Science) that the students had E8 (WASSCE holders) and E (SSCE holders).

The general admission requirement for WASSCE holders seeking admission into Degree programmes is at least, C6 in all their three Core and three Electives. WASSCE holders who have Grade D7 or E8 or F9 in any one of their three Core or three Elective subjects are advised not to apply for a degree programme. The total aggregate should be 36 or better for WASSCE and 24 or better for SSSCE. (Applicants are advised to check with the Departments for program specific cut off points).
Candidates holding HND with Second Class Upper or better would be admitted into Level 200 or 300 depending upon the alignment of their programme of study with the specific programmes in the Faculty.
Accredited Diploma holders with at least credit would be admitted into Level 200 depending upon the alignment of their programme of study with the specific programmes in the Faculty.
Mature students must be 25 years or above by August of the year of application. They are required to have 5 passes in WASSCE/SSCE, including English Language and Mathematics. They are expected to pass an examination and selection interview to be conducted by the university.

BSc. Agriculture TechnologyBSc. Agriculture Technology (Agricultural Economics & E, Agricultural Mechanization & Irrigation Technology, Animal Science, Agricultural Biotechnology, Crop Science, Horticulture and Soil Science). This programme is for science-based SSCE/WASSCE holders. Applicants with three (3) credit passes in core subjects (Mathematics, English Language and Integrated Science) and three (3) credit passes in the elective subjects (Science and General Agriculture only).
BSc. AgribusinessBSc. Agribusiness (Agricultural & Resource Economics, Agribusiness Management & Finance, Agricultural Administration). This programme is for both science-based and non-science-based SSCE/WASSCE holders with three (3) credit passes in core subjects and three (3) credit passes in elective subjects.
BSc. Family and Consumer SciencesThis programme is for both science-based and non-science-based SSCE/WASSCE holders with three (3) credit passes in core subjects and three (3) credit passes in the elective subjects. Applicants with Home Economics background have an advantage
BEd. Agricultural ScienceApplicants with three (3) credit passes in core subjects (Mathematics, English Language and Integrated Science) and three (3) credit passes in the elective subjects (Science and General Agriculture only).
BSc. Food Science and TechnologyThis programme is for science-based SSCE/WASSCE holders. Applicants with three (3) credit passes in core subjects (Mathematics, English Language and Integrated Science) and three (3) credit passes in the elective subjects (Science and General Agriculture only).
