Mission and Vision Our mission, vision and core values
Vision

To become an internationally recognized Centre of Excellence for cutting edge research, teaching, management and offering demand-driven and innovative training programmes in agriculture, food and consumer sciences for career advancement in northern Ghana and beyond.

Mission

The mission of the faculty is to create and maintain an enabling environment to produce competent professionals in agriculture and related programmes who would understand the strategic role of Agriculture, Food and Consumer Sciences in the development of Ghana and who can model and promote the best practices and sound values of Education in these areas.

To accomplish the mission and vision of the Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Consumer Sciences and abiding by the core values of UDS, the following core values need to be upheld by staff and the students within the faculty:

Who We Are

The Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Consumer Sciences (FOAFCS), located at the Nyankpala Campus, is the premier faculty of the University for Development Studies (UDS), having begun in 1993 as the Faculty of Agriculture.
