At the just ended GUSA Games held at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, even though the University for Development Studies did not win the Ultimate Gold medal in Indoor Volleyball (women) and Beach Volleyball (men), two of its players were adjudged players of the tournament in the two disciplines.
Bedawu Sidik who led the UDS women’s Indoor Volleyball team to win Silver at the 2022 GUSA Games was named by the Ghana Volleyball Association (GVA) as the Most Valuable Player of the competition in that category.

Similarly, Adam Mohammed Awal, also of UDS was named the Most Valuable Player in Beach Volleyball by the Ghana Volleyball Association, (GVA). The outside hitter led his teammates into the medal zone with some dazzling display of skills and power that made him stand out.
