Raymond Bidema, and Alumnus, who doubles as the President of the Greater Accra Regional Chapter of the UDS Alumni Association, has paved the path for the commencement of what promises to be a remarkable journey in practice of law in Ghana. He was one of the 1097 individuals called to the Bar on October 20, 2023.
Raymond started his academic journey at UDS, where he obtained his BSc in Applied Chemistry in 2010. After a successful undergraduate education, his career trajectory took a significant turn when he decided to explore the world of law. He enrolled in the LLB program at KAAF University College and completed the rigorous programme in 2021.
With this solid foundation, he then aimed higher and set his eyes on specializing in Corporate and Commercial Law at the prestigious Ghana School of Law, University of Ghana, where he passed all the examinations.
His journey from graduating with a BSc in Applied Chemistry in 2010 to his current pursuit of a specialization in Corporate and Commercial Law at the distinguished Ghana School of Law is a testament to his unyielding commitment to academic and professional growth.
However, it is not just his academic achievements but also the indispensable role he played as a founding member and the first president of the Greater Accra Chapter of the UDS Alumni Association, that sets him apart. In his role as the president of the Greater Accra Chapter of the UDS Alumni Association Raymond Bidema has over the years, demonstrated excellent leadership qualities as a result of which the membership of the Association keeps growing in the Greater Accra Region.
Under Raymond's leadership and guidance, the Greater Accra Chapter has flourished. He tirelessly worked to expand its reach and influence, allowing alumni to connect, share experiences, and commit to the mission, values and growth of the Association. In recognition of his remarkable contributions, Raymond was re-elected as the chapter's president for a second term. His unflinching commitment and the trust placed in his leadership signify his lasting impact and serve as an inspiration to all members.
In the years ahead, he is poised to make even greater strides in the field of law and continue his mission of fostering a close-knit UDS alumni community in the Greater Accra Region. His legacy is one of commitment to learning, leadership, and the relentless pursuit of excellence in both academic and professional spheres, making him a true role model for future generations of UDS alumni.
