The University for Development Studies (UDS) is delighted to announce that His Majesty Ndan Ya-Na Abukari II, Overlord of the Dagbon Kingdom, will be conferred with an Honorary Doctorate Degree by the University.

The conferment ceremony will take place on Saturday, 15th November 2025, at the Multipurpose auditorium during a Special Congregation of the University.

This well-deserved honour is in recognition of His Majesty’s distinguished leadership, immense contributions to peacebuilding, and unwavering support for education and development in Northern Ghana and beyond.

The University Community and the general public are cordially invited to join UDS in celebrating this remarkable occasion as we pay tribute to a monarch whose vision and service continue to inspire generations.
