On July 1, 2025, the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) of the University for Development Studies (UDS) demonstrated remarkable leadership and commitment to student welfare with a donation at a ceremony held in front of the University’s Central Administration.
In a move that underscored their dedication to enhancing academic and social life on campus, the SRC presented a package of essential resources and financial support. The items donated included:

The university's key officials who received the donations were Vice Chancellor (VC) Professor Seidu Alhassan, Pro Vice Chancellor (Pro VC) Professor Elliot Huruna Alhassan, Director of Internal Audit Mr. Abubakar Abdulai, and Principal of Nyankpala Campus Professor Mohammed Muniru Iddrisu. The SRC team that presented the items consisted of the Dean of Students, Professor Alhassan Musah, the Vice Dean of Students, Dr. Haruna Umar, the SRC President, Abukari Rahim Mbamba, and his executives.
The Vice Chancellor, in his remarks, praised the SRC's initiative, highlighting the positive impact the donated items would have on the university community. He expressed his appreciation for the SRC's efforts to identify and address student needs and encouraged them to continue their good work.
