Athletes and officials who represented the University for Development Studies, UDS at the 27th GUSA Cross Country Race departed for the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi from their their training base on the Tamale Campus on Thursday, July 4, 2024.

As part of measures to ensure that the athletes were well prepared, physically and psychologically, for the task ahead, the Directorate of Sports in collaboaration with the Directorate of Healsth Services, conducted a health screening exercise to ensure that all team members were fit for the race.

The 27th GUSA cross country race had 15 public universities competing. They included UDS, KNUST, UG, UCC, UEW, UMaT, UENR, GIMPA, AMMUSTED, UNIMAC, UESD, UHAS, SSD-UBIDS, CKT-UTAS and GCTU.
