The Central Students’ Representative Council of the University for Development Studies (UDS), on 31st March, 2023 organized a one-day Study Abroad Scholarship Educational Fair to educate students of the university on the opportunities available for them to pursue further education abroad.
Through a partnership with the University Students’ Association of Ghana (USAG), and Student Connect, the program was hosted at UDS’ premier campus – the Nyankpala campus. The Student Connect is a scholarship consult from the United Kingdom focusing on helping students to grab opportunities in order to pursue further education abroad.
Representatives from some universities, especially, in the United Kingdom, such as Middlesex University, University of Birmingham, Colchester University, Agile, and many others, took students through various stages involved in securing scholarships to study abroad.
The Chief Executive Officer of Student Connect, Mr. Mohammad Zainul Abedin expressed his appreciation and readiness to help secure scholarships for students of UDS to study abroad.
The Central SRC President, Mr. Musah Abdul Mugis said the demand for higher education outside the country has necessitated this partnership between the Students’ Representative Council and the partner universities.
He stated that, compared to previous years, the turnout of students this year was massive adding that what it meant was that, students were ready to grab scholarship opportunities available in order to climb up the academic ladder.
