The University for Development Studies (UDS) and Gbanwah Arabic College (GAC), Walewale, on 11th May, 2023, signed a memorandum of understanding for the establishment of an instrumental affiliation between the two institutions.
The Delegation from the Gbanwah Arabic College, led by the Chairman of the Governing Council, Alhaj Muhammed Haroon, the Principal of GAC, Alhaj Ahmed Mohammed Faida, met with the Vice Chancellor, UDS, Prof. Seidu Al-hassan, the Registrar, Mr. Nurudeen Issah Abubakar, the Director of Finance, Dr. Mohammed Hardi Shaibu a staff of the Development Planning and Quality Assurance Directorate, Mr. Richard Narlab.
The Vice Chancellor of the University for Development Studies, Professor Seidu Al-hassan signed for the university, while the Chairman of the Governing Council, GAC, Alhaj Muhammed Haroon, signed on behalf of the Gbanwah Arabic College, with witnesses from both institutions also signed, the Registrar, UDS and the Principal, GAC.
Prof. Seidu Al-hassan, said that he is very happy to signing an MoU between the two institutions. He added that he is also excited about the development of the relationship with the Gbawah Arabic College, and expressed optimism that this relationship will produce some outstanding outcomes in the future.
The MOU outlines that, that the interactions between the UDS and the GAC shall be conducted in an ethos of partnership and co-operation with a view to each party exercising their several and joint responsibilities in the fullest sense to ensure that academic standards of all taught programmes are maintained and enhanced in accordance with a level of attainment, appropriate for the award of Degrees of the University for Development Studies and the Gbanwah Arabic College.
The Chairman of the Governing Council, GAC, Alhaj Muhammed Haroon, expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome by UDS. He said that the partnership is extremely important to GAC pledged their commeitemnt to seeing to its success.
