University Faculty Member Elected as Vice President of the Ghana Psychological Association

Mr. Peter Amadu Mintir, a lecturer from the Department of Clinical Psychology at the School of Medicine, has been elected as the new Vice President of the Ghana Psychological Association (GPA). 

Mr. Mintir's appointment reflects his exceptional expertise and dedication to the field of psychology, as well as his contributions to mental health advocacy and professional development within the sector.

The Ghana Psychological Association (GPA) is a national body committed to promoting the science and practice of psychology in Ghana. Founded to support the professional needs of psychologists and ensure the provision of quality mental health care, the GPA is actively involved in advancing research, education, and public policy related to psychological services across the country.

Mr. Mintir has been an active member of the association for several years, contributing his knowledge and experience to various initiatives aimed at improving mental health awareness and treatment. As Vice President, he will play a key role in shaping the direction of the association and fostering collaboration among mental health professionals nationwide.

The University extends its heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Peter Amadu Mintir and wishes him success in his new leadership role with the GPA.
