Ms. Christabel Amponsah Adu-Gyamfi is an Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences at the University for Development Studies (UDS), Nyankpala Campus. She holds an MPhil and BEd in Home Economics (Foods and Nutrition) from the University of Cape Coast (2018 and 2014 respectively). She joined the Ghana Education Service in 2018 and worked at Osei Adutwum Senior High School. As a Home Economics teacher, she taught Foods and Nutrition and Management in Living at the School for three years. Her research interests include community nutrition, nutritional assessment, food security, socio-economic factors related to nutrition in Ghanaian communities, and nutritional education.
The Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Consumer Sciences (FOAFCS), located at the Nyankpala Campus, is the premier faculty of the University for Development Studies (UDS), having begun in 1993 as the Faculty of Agriculture.
