Evans Adingba Alenyorege (PhD) is a Lecturer in the Department of Agricultural Mechanization and Irrigation Technology. He has over 8 years of professional experience with the University for Development Studies. He has provided instruction in Principles of Land Survey, Environmental Control and Livestock Housing, and Crop Storage and Preservation at the undergraduate level as well as Food and Produce Packaging and Storage and Postharvest Handling and Quality Assurance of Perishables at the postgraduate level. He undertakes research in the areas of food science and postharvest technology with interest in food processing and preservation, non-thermal decontamination of fresh produce, drying and postharvest storage of food materials. Dr. Alenyorege has conducted widespread studies on non-thermal decontamination/cleaning of fresh produce using ultrasonic irradiation. He currently has interest in using low-frequency ultrasound in combination with food grade sanitizers to remove pesticide residue in fresh produce.
