Justice Kofi Avedzi graduated from University of Ghana in 2011 with an MPhil in Soil Science, majoring in Soil Microbiology and Biochemistry. He also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture Technology from the University for Development Studies. Justice is currently waiting to defend his PhD thesis leading to the award of PhD (Soil Science)- soil microbiology. Mr. Avedzi has appreciable teaching and research experience having served as a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Agronomy, University for Development Studies. He also has over one-and-half decades teaching experience at the pre-tertiary level. His research interest areas cover petroleum microbiology, microbial remediation of contaminated soils, rhizobial nodulation of legumes as a means of soil fertility improvement, bacterial and heavy contamination of vegetables and soil, use of organic resources for improving soil fertility.
The Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Consumer Sciences (FOAFCS), located at the Nyankpala Campus, is the premier faculty of the University for Development Studies (UDS), having begun in 1993 as the Faculty of Agriculture.
