Joseph Kudadam Korese (PhD) is a Senior Lecturer and Head of the Department of Agricultural Mechanization and Irrigation Technology. He has served as the Department Examinations Officer and Postgraduate Programmes Coordinator. He has over 12 years of professional experience with the University and undertakes teaching, research and development and consultancy services in the areas of postharvest technologies, loss reduction, food processing, sensors and electronics in agriculture and renewable energy integration focusing in designing, construction, installations as well as putting into operation both solar and solar assisted systems. Dr. Korese is currently teaching about seven (7) different undergraduate and postgraduate courses at the Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Consumer Sciences and at the School of Engineering. He also supervises research at the doctoral, masters and undergraduate levels. In addition, he serves as external examiner for postgraduate studies (masters and PhD) undertaken in a number of Universities in Ghana and in Germany. Dr. Korese has been collaborating in several scientific research and development projects funded by BMEL, BMBF, DAAD, IFS, UNIDO, EPSRC-UK, DEFRA, DFID and VW-Foundation, among others. He serves as a reviewer for a number of international journals. He has also published in a number of international peer-reviewed journals and presented his work at several international conferences.
